Unity Thursday

Thursday, January 29, 2015

Hello Unity friends! It's Unity Thursday and we always have lots of inspiration and tons of fun happening! I am so excited about this week's releases! Let's have a look!

First! We have new Angie Girls!

I really love and am so inspired by these images from the talented Angie Blom!

Here's Bernadette girl

Here's a little something I created with this image.

I used distress inks and water to color the image in. It's a little rough in a few places but I have been trying out this technique all week. Practice makes perfect right?

If you haven't stopped my the other team member's blogs today, you can do so by clicking their photos below.

Have a creative day friends!

So good for my heart

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

Hello friends.
If you've been by before, you'll probably notice I gave my blog a little New Years make over. After a few years of the same look, I figured it was time.
I really like the cleaner look but I am still messing with my sidebar items.

If you too switched up your blog for the new year be sure and leave a link in the comments. I'd love to stop by and have a look!

Today I am sharing some cards I created with the newest releases from My Favorite Things.

My first card features the new die-namics heart puzzle. When I saw this die in the release peeks, I had to have it.

Supplies: My Favorite Things Stamps: You have my heart Dies: Dien-namics Heart Puzzle, Love Die-namics.

For my next card I used the new Fluttering hearts cover up die and inked up the Birdie Brown You have my heart set.

Supplies: My Favorite Things Stamps: BB You have my heart set Dies: Fluttering hearts cover up die, Stitched Scalloped Edges. Copic Markers and Sakura Stardust Glitter pen.

I had so much fun creating these cards because I love the new MFT releases.

I am working on a fun new bi-monthly feature for my blog. I'll be revealing what's going on next Monday but for now, here's a little sneak peek.

Have a creative day!

You make the world...

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

Hello friends! I'm kicking off my new year by trying to participate in more stamping challenge blogs this year. I recently ordered a few Avery Elle sets and inked this one up for this month's challenge.

Here's what I created

Supplies: Cardstock: black, white and gold. Avery Elle Write It set, Adhesive: Therm*O*Web Sticky Strip Runner, 3D Foam squares. Misc: sequins and stars.

For the challenge I paper pieced the pen with some fabulous gold shimmer paper from Anna Griffin. I fell in love with the font in this set immediately and that's what made me order it.

If you'd like to ink up your Avery Elle sets and create along with this month's challenge head on over to the blog and link up your creation here.

Happy new year! My goal is very much like yours -- to use my stuff! I think I spend way too much time looking at "inspiration" but never actually getting anything done. But I keep buying new product -- isn't that what I'm supposed to do? LOL Thanks for the prize opportunities!
